Our Story
Truster Building & Fence has been a family-owned and operated business for over 25 years. The company was originally started by George Truster in Rushville in the early 1980s.
Seeking retirement, George sold this business to the Kent family in Shelbyville in the 1990s. In 2011, the business transferred ownership to Matt and Jessica Legan, who continue to uphold the same quality and values on which the company was founded.
Located in Johnson County, Truster Building & Fence provides post-frame buildings and a variety of fence services to Central Indiana. We treat our customers' projects like our own.

Matt manages the day-to-day operations of the business. He is actively involved in every project — not just from the office, but on-site alongside the crew. His hands-on approach means you get consistent quality and direct communication throughout your project.
Jessica Legan
CPA / Administrative Support
Jessica provides the administrative support that keeps everything running smoothly. As a CPA, she brings financial discipline and attention to detail to the business — so your estimates are accurate and your billing is transparent.
